[Video] City of Evanston: Lead Service Line Replacement (LSLR) Pilot Project

The City of Evanston has launched the Lead Service Line Replacement (LSLR) Pilot Project to replace eligible homeowner's lead water service line at no cost. The pilot project is prioritizing homes in designated low and moderate income areas that already had the city-owned portion of their lead line replaced as part of a previous water main project.

A priority for this project is to prevent the likelihood of water service lines from releasing lead as exposure to lead is harmful to health, especially for children under the age of six. For more information on this project and the harms of lead exposure, please watch the video below.

If your home is eligible, you have already received a notice in the mail guiding you to sign and return a Right-of-Entry (ROE) form. Also, you can refer to the Lead Service Line Replacement Pilot Project website to see a map highlighting blocks that are eligible to participate.
