The City of Evanston held three virtual public meetings alongside with CDM Smith and Morreale Communications to discuss the City of Evanston Lead Service Line Replacement (LSLR) is a pilot project. The goal of the project is to replace water service lines in low-moderate income areas within Evanston on a first-come, first-served basis.
The meetings were held via Zoom on May 19, May 24, and May 25. If you missed the meeting, you can watch the recording of the public meeting on YouTube.
During the meeting, the team discussed the City of Evanston Pilot Project and provided the opportunity for homeowners to ask questions directly to the project team. Attendees were give an overview of the 2022 private side replacement pilot project and discussed the benefits. The team also shared the steps to participate.
If your home is eligible, the first step is to sign and return a Right-of-Entry (ROE) form. The first step for participating in the replacement process is for homeowners to sign the ROE form.
